Electric heater Vents NK 250-1.2-1 with a power of 1.2 kW consists of a housing, a switching box and heating elements made of stainless steel. For a tight connection with air ducts, the heaters are equipped with rubber seals. NK duct heaters are equipped with two overheat protection thermostats:
main protection with automatic restart (operation temperature +50°C). After cooling, the thermostat automatically closes the heater control circuit.
emergency protection with manual restart (operation temperature +90°C). In the event of an alarm, power can be supplied to the heater only after manually resetting the alarm.
For each standard size there are several power options. Greater power can be achieved by installing heaters in series one after another.
Installation
The design of the heater allows it to be mounted on round air ducts using clamps. The direction of air movement must correspond to the arrow on the heater. Duct heaters can be installed in any position, except for the position with the electrical panel at the bottom (danger of condensate leakage and short circuit of the electrical wiring).
It is recommended to install it so that the air flow is evenly distributed over the entire section. An air filter must be installed in front of the heater to protect the heating elements from contamination. The recommended distance between the heater and the rest of the system elements should be at least two connecting diameters.
Duct heaters are designed for a minimum air flow speed of 1.5 m/s and a maximum operating temperature of outlet air of 40°C. If a fan speed controller is used, it is necessary to ensure a minimum air flow through the heater. It is prohibited to supply power to the heater when the fan is turned off.
For proper and safe operation of heaters, it is recommended to use an automation system that provides comprehensive control and protection:
automatic adjustment of power and air heating temperature,
monitoring filter status using a differential pressure sensor,
blocking the power supply to the heater in case of a stop of the supply fan or a decrease in air flow speed, as well as when the built-in overheating protection thermostats are triggered,
shutdown ventilation systems with purging of heater heating elements.
